In The Beginning There Was Everything
Tuija Lindström is one of Sweden's foremost photographic artists and highly influential in Finland as well. This is the second of two books covering here work from 1980 to the presentation. Many of the images in the book carry on chronologically from where the last book left off giving an overview of production here from the start of the 1990s to the 2000s. It spans the period When Tuija Lindström was first professor of photography then an independent artist. The themes of beauty and death, life and humanity, are at the heart of the works. The artist approaches these subjects in her powerful and direct, yet tangibly sensitive style.
